Behind the scenes: Parkour "A little planet 360Video"

A few weeks ago we were contacted by Claudiu Voicu, who is a Freerunning / Parkour Film Directer. He had an idea to shoot a 360Video with the camera mounted to the body of the athlete while they where doing their stunts, and make a Little Planet video with the footage.

For the shoot he had teamed up with professional freerunners Katie McDonnell and Erik Mukhametshin and asked us if he could borrow a 3rdPersonView mount for the project. As we really liked the idea, and where promised feedback and footage from the shoot, we send one over.

The video was going to be shot with a 6 GoPro Freedom360 rig or a GoPro Omni, so we sent the 3rdPersonView 3pvX2 Pro in combination with the extra straight pole for 360 (as this would be able to connect to both camera rigs with its 1/4" and 3/8" tread).

In the video below you will see a mix of the final film in combination with "Behind The Scene footage"

Parkour (AKA Freerunning) is the sport of moving rapidly trough an area, typically in an urban environment, negotiating obstacles by running, jumping and climbing.

We really liked that we where able to help out with this project and would like to thank Claudiu and the athletes involved. Below are the links to their websites and pages:
