What is included:
* A flat clear technical polyester backplate that needs to be mounted to your Kite/Windsurf (waist) harness.
(PLEASE NOTE: you will need to make 4 holes in your harness, but all tools and bolts are included in the package)
* A set of stabiliser straps that connect between the backplate and camera pole, keeping it steady, and also functioning as a leash when things go seriously wrong.
What is NOT included:
* The camera poles and connection system of the camera pole.
You will need the poles of one of our other 3rdPersonView mounts.
This means that existing users of our LITE or PRO mount can just buy the Kite Windsurf add-on without having to buy a complete new system.
When you want to shoot with a 360Video camera (Like the GoPro Fusion/Max or Insta360 One-R) and get that invisible camera mount shot, you will need a 3rdPersonView mount straight camera pole.
Our 3rdPersonView 3pvX2 PRO and the LITE 360 and LITE All in One come with a straight camera pole that you can connect directly to the camera.
When the camera is in line with the camera pole the pole will become invisible to the camera, like in the video above.
(The video above shot by Nick Jacobson and Graham Howes)
The Kite Windsurf backplate can be attached most waist harnesses as you can see in this video we shot in 2013. The earlier version did not come with stabiliser straps.
These stabiliser straps can be very useful when shooting with regular action cams like the GoPro cameras. In combination with the curved camera pole you can place the camera in any position (directly behind you or more from the side), and the stabiliser straps will give you a very stable setup that can take a hit at impact.
These 3rdPersonView camera mounts come with curved camera poles: 3pvX2 PRO , the LITE All in One and LITE.
All of these mounts also have a mini ball head that will let you connect any action cam with 1/4" tread, and set your shot in seconds.
